This book illustrates and describes fifteen postcards sent by an Englishman on a train journey from Warsaw to Dairen, China in the winter of 1910-11. The fronts and backs of the postcards are illustrated in colour, as are additional postcards added by the authors illustrating stations, bridges etc. along the route. An interesting appendix illustrates postcards sent home by a Russian soldier in the Russo-Japanese War 1904-05.
