Edward Denny Bacon took ten years arranging and cataloguing the Earl of Crawford’s remarkable library of some 4,500 volumes, and his labours eventually resulted in this monumental work. The “Bible” for collectors of early philatelic literature, it lists almost every book, catalogue, journal, or pamphlet relating to philately to be published anywhere in the world prior to 1912.
