Part 1 relates to the postal history up to 1921 and documents the surviving correspondence from the island. It also outlines how the mails were carried and the postal rates charged. Part 4 continues the postal history story after 1921 with the added interest of airmail, postage due, and used abroad mail. Part 2 covers the 1922 to 1976 provisional and definitive issues and here the seeker of varieties can have considerable scope. The various commemorative issues are detailed in Part 3.
