Hardback, original green cloth gilt, with title and engraved vignette of ruined temple in gilt on front cover, gilt title and decoration to spine, and blind-stamping on rear cover. 371 pages, tinted vignette illustration to title-page, plus frontispiece and six other illustrations with tissue guards. Bright binding with only slight rubbing at head and foot of spine. Endpapers and tissue-guards a little foxed, previous owner’s name on front endpaper, top-edge a little dusty, else a Very Good copy.
