Bellamy owned one of the largest philatelic libraries ever formed, which he tried to donate to Oxford University. The rejection of his offer by the University led to his response in two letters to the Press, which he reprinted in this booklet. Rare.

One of the pamphlets written by Patrick Chalmers promoting his father, James Chalmers, as the true inventor of the adhesive postage stamp. Sir Rowland Hill's son, Pearson Hill, also published pamphlets putting his family's side of the argument in what became known as the "Chalmers-Hill Controversy". Rare.
